Role (Overview of the Position):
The Worship Leader is responsible for partnering with the pastoral team in the planning, coordination, execution, evaluation of worship gatherings for each Sunday service and special services.
Responsibilities:
1. Planning of the Sunday Services, specifically as relates to Worship
· Lead the programming team to plan, design, and produce weekly adult worship services, including the content of weekly video announcements, to develop a Sunday morning gathering experience that is faithful to God and hospitable to all people.
· Input the Service plans in Planning Center Online (PCO) ahead of time to communicate with various teams and be prepared.
· Ensure plan is given to Creative Director and Office Coordinator so they can input into ProPresenter and produce Weekly Bulletin, respectively.
2. Lead the Worship Teams for Band and Vocal
· Function as primary worship leader for weekly adult worship services on Sunday
· Help coordinate and support various areas of ministry with worship leaders and band members for our Stoney Care on Mondays, Youth Group on Tuesdays, and Children’s Ministry on Sunday Mornings
· Recruit, train, equip and direct musicians, vocalists, choir, technical/creative artists in the production of weekly worship services and periodic special events. Lead weekly worship team rehearsals.
· Retain and schedule teams for worship band and vocals for each service.
· Creatively utilize and implement technology/music assets available to you.
· Produce high-quality backing tracks in Ableton Live using ------------, ensuring precise synchronization and seamless integration of multi-track audio stems.
· Collaborate with musicians to understand their creative vision, applying expertise in audio editing, mixing, or arrangement to deliver polished backing tracks that enhance live services.
3. Additional Duties
· Maintain the budget for the Worship Arts Ministry and handle any orders that need to be placed.
· Assist in the development of an annual budget for Worship Arts Ministry.
· Lead the creative use and upkeep of the stage and set design in the adult worship services.
· Function as a member of the pastoral staff performing baptism services, weddings, funerals, etc. as part of a rotation schedule.
Requirements (Expected Proficiencies):
· Spirit-filled lover of God and People
· Worship Leader experience in a mid-sized or large church setting
· Musical Gifting: Strong gifting in vocal performance, instrumental skillset, and music theory
· Organizational Skills: Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
· Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communications ability
· Technical Proficiency: Competent in MS Office and Planning Center Church Management System
· Professionalism: Maintain respect and clarity in all communications
· Adaptability: Flexibility in adapting to changing priorities and staff needs
