    Hours needed Monday-Thursday 10am-7pm, Friday 10a-6p, Lunch daily 12-1pm

OVERVIEW: Assesses patients soft tissue conditions, joint quality, muscle strength and their range of motion under direction of chiropractor physician.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for assessing patients' soft tissue conditions, joint quality, muscle strength and their range of motion.
  • Must consult with other health care professionals like physiotherapists, chiropractors, physicians and psychologists so they will be able to develop effective treatment plans for each client.
    • Provide patients with a wide variety of manual therapy techniques.
    • Assist patients with rehabilitative exercises.
    • Confer with patients about medical histories.
    • Maintain treatment records
    • Provide coverage in other clinics
    • Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

KNOWLEDGE:

Knowledge of various modalities preferred, including but not limited to, E-Stim, Ultrasound, Mechanical Traction and Hydrotherapy.

  • Knowledge of local and state licensing laws and regulations.

SKILLS:

  • Superior communication skills.

ABILITIES:

  • Customer service oriented and able to communicate effectively with clients, clinic management, fellow therapists and sales staff.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING:

  • Competition of an accredited LMT program, Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • National certification through National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Body Work
  • Florida state license
