Role: Create a unique Ice Cream experience by serving menu items and ensuring every customer comes back.

Josh & John’s is known for an energetic workplace, but it is work! Every Scooper is held to a high standard to accomplish our mission, and expected to excel in their role. The following skills must all continually be met and improved by each Scooper in order to succeed. Please evaluate yourself in all of these areas.

• Expert: Become an Ice Cream Expert. Knows all flavor descriptions, recipes, procedures. Seek out knowledge rather than assume or cut corners. Excited to teach others.

• Smiles: Greet customers with an authentic smile, good eye contact, while having a positive attitude. Friendly demeanor. Approachable by customers and coworkers.

Key Responsibilities/Tasks

• Deliver an excellent customer experience aligned with Josh & John's mission and values
• Scoop/learn to make all menu items
• Clean and maintain positive perception of ScoopShop
• Make Homemade items from scratch such as waffle cones, Grandma Molly’s Hot Fudge, etc
• Awareness and engagement with promotions and deals for customer experience building through loyalty programs
• Monitor and attend to store needs such as customer satisfaction, clean customer environment, stocking, music, and quality control of homemade items.
• Work as a team player on shift through engagement and culture building
• Communicate with leadership openly and honestly
• Miscellaneous tasks associated with shift specific processes

Time Commitment: Josh & John’s is open year round. While we prefer to hire year-long Scoopers, seasonal positions are available. Nights and weekends are our busiest times; please consider this when applying. If you cannot work past 8p this may not be the job for you. Week-to-week schedule varies on season, staffing, and other factors. Minimum of 2 shifts per week is required. Availability for 3 per week is preferred. 1-2 days of Weekend availability is required.
