Responsibilities:
- Provide a variety of massage therapy (not just standard deep tissue) services to clients, including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other specialized techniques.
- Assess clients' needs and create individualized treatment plans
- Perform patient assessments and physical examinations to determine appropriate treatment
- Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of physiology to effectively communicate with clients and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of client treatments and progress
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in massage therapy techniques and research
Skills:
- Excellent patient service skills, with the ability to create a comfortable and welcoming environment for clients
- Proficiency in acute pain management techniques, including trigger point therapy and pain management strategies
- Ability to perform patient assessments and physical examinations to determine appropriate treatment plans
- Understanding of occupational health principles and the ability to tailor treatments to meet specific needs or conditions
- Deep tissue massage expertise, with the ability to provide therapeutic relief for muscle tension and chronic pain
