We’re seeking a motivated and reliable RF and Fiber Optics Technician

With the following attributes:

  • Electrical/Electronics knowledge
  • Knowledge & experience working with Microscopes and work with small components.
  • Knowledge & experience working with Network Analyzer and Spectrum Analyzer equipment
  • Understanding intermodulation and noise measurements.
  • Test, measurements and troubleshooting electronics.
  • Working in the laboratories assembling optical components, such as Lasers, Photodiode, Fiber cables.
  • Great with people & communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, and be self motivated

Responsibilities

  • Support the production line in the form of testing, Troubleshoot digital, analog and RF circuitry to the component level
  • Perform electronic testing on units, sub-assemblies, composite assemblies and customer returns using complex test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, generators and Network Analyzers).
  • Develop and modify test plans, procedures and other documentation used in the manufacturing process.
  • Use theoretical analysis, problem-solving and experimentation skills to develop proactive approaches to troubleshoot unusual technical problems.
  • Attain comprehensive knowledge of all assigned product lines, thorough knowledge of basic product building blocks, and interfacing characteristics between units.
  • Provide technical assistance to Engineering with testing of out-of-box failures (RMA), analysis and identification of root cause corrective action procedures.
  • Perform rework, tune-up and soldering.
  • Testing, Tuning/troubleshooting RF Optical Fiber units and isolating problem to component level.
  • Splicing Optical fiber, Straight and lossy splice is a plus.
  • Support, assist engineers to test, troubleshoot, setup station, and modified new products. Environmental/ESS test from -40C to 80C,
  • Log and collecting data for analysis.

 

Major Plus:

  • Prior Electrical and Fiber Optic Skills
  • Familiarities with computers is a plus

This position requires one to be a proactive, positive, competent, composed hands-on team player as well as working independently if required. 
This position will have the following duties:

  • Working in the laboratories assembling optical components, such as Lasers, Photodiode, Fiber cable.
