Job description

We are looking for a massage therapist to join our team! We are an integrated clinic with many services offered such as chiropractic, acupuncture, physical therapy, and of course massage therapy. You must feel comfortable working with a team to meet wellness goals. Most of the patients you see will be acute pain patients, car accidents, work injuries, and general neck/back/headache patients. There is some that come in for relaxation as well.

What a day at our clinic looks like for a massage therapist:

Come in 10-15 minutes early for room prep. Sheets, blanket warmer, towel warmer, essential oils.

Check the patient in (call/text patient if late though office line)

Massage 60/90/120 min massage

Schedule and check the patient out

Room clean up: Take your sheets off and throw them in the hamper; put your wet towels in the wash and run the wash. Our staff with take care of washing sheets. If you have 3 sets of sheets and enough time to run a load you can run a load on your shift as long as it has time to dry.

Our staff sends patients reminder texts so missed appointments are very limited. Tips are acquired though venmo or cash only. We orient every patient and let them know how to tip you. Every patient will fill out an intake form that you will have access to as well as doctor notes/recommendations before each massage.

For car accident pateints you will be required to do SOAP notes for your massage. You will be trained on how to do so and no prior knowledge is needed for this. It takes about 5 minutes to do each SOAP. You will get paid an extra $20/massage to do the SOAP notes.

Skills required: Deep Tissue and Swedish.

We are open to you building the practice you dream of so any other specialties you want to do besides the two required are welcomed. We see value in niche massage markets.

Time management is required as you will only have 15 minute turn around between massages and you will be the one check in/out scheduling each patients. (you will be trained on this- don't worry)

Pay:

60 min massage(deep tissue/swedish/prenatal): $35

90 min massage: $52.50

120 min massage: $70

Aroma: $5

Detox, hot stone, cupping, etc. (anything that takes set up/clean up) is an extra $10

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $35.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
