GREENWICH, CT (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY): Lovely family in Greenwich, CT is seeking an experienced, responsible, and sophisticated WEEKEND LIVE-OUT CAREGIVER/FAMILY ASSISTANT for their daughter who is 3 years old. The weekend nanny will work alongside the weekday nanny as a team on Friday, and then take over the care for the weekend. They are hoping to find a candidate who is energetic and happy to match their child’s energy level and be a positive light in their child's life. Strong communication skills and professionalism will be prerequisites; bilingual is a plus! Ideally, the nanny will be able to swim with the child as well.
While there will be housekeeping outside of this position to maintain the home, the nanny will be expected to handle any laundry, cleaning, and organizing as it relates to the child. Tasks such as gathering items that the child has outgrown, like clothing and toys, for storage or donation (per the parent’s direction) will be a part of this role. Additionally, maintaining the child’s daily schedule, cooking and preparing age-appropriate meals while expanding a healthy food palate, and participating in or transporting to-and-from activities will be required. Must have a clean driving record and valid license; a family car will be provided. Communication will be key, and deference to the parent for making decisions is a must. Drama and unprofessional behavior are not welcome; cell phones are not to be used during work hours unless work-related.
The weekend schedule will be Friday - Sunday 8:30am-5:30pm, with additional hours and overnight probable; must be flexible with your schedule.. Travel may be required if the weekday nanny is unable to do so, both domestic and international. For example, they have a home in Montana that they will travel to often throughout the year. As able, private accommodations will be provided when traveling with the family.
Start date is ASAP. Pay is competitive, with overtime included as applicable, and will be based on experience. Covid vaccine and boosters as well as all child-related vaccines are required. Paid vacation and sick leave will be discussed during the interview process; holidays may be required due to the parent’s work schedule and will be compensated accordingly.
