Seeking full-time and part time high-volume professional prep cooks that also have experience with banquet cooking.

Great opportunity to work in a high volume, positive and clean environment with a highly regarded professional Chef with over 30 years of high-end restaurant and hotel experience. Chef is willing to train the right person with passion for food and willingness to work to sharpen their skills. Following our recipes so they can produce consistent, delicious food.

Full time employees work Wednesday - Sunday and can take advantage of a five-day work week, two days off in a row most weeks.
Starting wage $24/hr. based on experience and attitude.

City of Chicago food sanitation certificate required

Prep / Catering Banquet Cook 

• Possesses the ability to handle any menu ranging from breakfast buffets to corporate lunch meetings with sandwiches to formal dinners with multi-course meals some of which are individually plated.
• Work closely with the executive chef to ensure smooth banquet operations. 
• Helps maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen. Keep workspace clean and organized, cleaning workspace as you work. Making sure that spills as well as other potential hazards are addressed immediately. 
• Monitor the quality of the banquet meal during the event. 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Must have the ability to multi-task while remaining focused on the goal. 
• Must be able to able to communicate in English and possess leadership skills. 
• Be able to follow recipes and express creativity through food, preparation, and presentation. 
• Must be detail oriented. 


Education and Experience 
• 4 years of Hotel / Banquet facility experience
• Several years’ experience in the food industry, food production.
