Summary
The Production Warehouse and Materials Associate plays a crucial role in the efficient management of warehouse operations and materials for a roofing company. They will assist the production team in the efficient coordination of job starts and material management. The Warehouse and Materials Associate will also be responsible for going on material runs as needed, ensuring a continuous supply of materials to support the company's production activities and ongoing projects.
This dynamic position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. The Production Warehouse Associate will need to complete tasks with a sense of urgency. You will be required to manage conversation points with multiple individuals and be able to quickly access and assess necessary information for the Assistant Production Manager and Production Manager.
The Production Warehouse and Material Associate will also be responsible for occasional Site Supervisor duties, consisting of taking photos on and off the roof, ensuring roofers and employees are abiding by safety protocol and proper SOP’s of the company, placing company signs and door knockers, speaking with neighbors of project address, speaking with by-passers of projects, and learning roofing fundamentals.

Essential Job Duties
● Will create and maintain a complete record of materials stored in warehouse, to be updated whenever materials are consumed or added to/from the warehouse
● Will place material orders, pickup material, and deliver material accordingly
● Will consistently communicate with production team for updates on materials needed for pickup/delivery
● Will perform periodic inspections via photos of progress on projects, taking photos of the total roof, property around the roof, and any other needed items
● Will assist Assistant Production Manager and Production Manager with coordinating projects, material deliveries, and material orders
● Will speak with customers/neighbors/bypassers when necessary, regarding roofing and services of Bay Valley Roofing
● Will be required to learn a vast amount of product and industry knowledge
● Will communicate with vendors, sub-contractors, and suppliers regarding the project
timelines and delivery dates
● Will be in charge of staging materials and tools for job starts
● Will assist the Production Manager with locating and orderings on all long-lead items
such as skylight orders, saddle orders and special material orders
● Utilizes effective communication with project foreman to assess if any additional
materials are required for next day to be staged and set up for easy access of field team
to bring on site
● Obtains photos from project foreman and field teams during the installation process and
final photos
● Assists project manager and Production Manager in conducting safety inspections
● Works with the office to manage company equipment and service
● Assures that field team has all required tools and supplies to accurately and efficiently
complete the project
● Will assist in managing vehicles and vehicle service

The majority of the Production Warehouse and Materials Associate work will be done both in the field and on the road. The Production Warehouse and Materials Associate will be exposed to varying temperatures ranging from heat of 100 degrees plus, to cold weather which could include temperatures in the teens and rainy conditions. The Production Warehouse and Materials Associate must be able to lift/move up to 100 pounds frequently and may perform tasks requiring climbing, crawling, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, gripping, and moving safely over uneven surfaces. The Production Warehouse and Materials Associate is expected to safely climb ladders reaching up to 60 ft while carrying up to 30 pounds and wear personal protective gear correctly.
