Job Summary
Do you like shopping local, and "Mom-and-pop" type places? Well, look no further! We consider ourselves a "boutique style" Speech and Language practice! We are a small and local Therapist-owned company and are often described by families as "unique", "creative", "family focused" and "the place where everyone knows your name". We love being small and knowing all of our families, and their kids, and very often their dogs. We get to really know our families and the motivations and interests of the kids that we see. We are a play-based practice that follows the philosophy of Floortime therapy--following a child's lead and developing relationships to get the most out of therapy. If a child feels safe and loved and validated they will go so much further! We absolutely love being small, and we will always have that "small family friendly feeling" for our Therapists and our families, but we are growing!
Dragonfly Pediatric Speech Therapy is a growing Therapist-owned company looking to add an enthusiastic, flexible, fun, and qualified Speech Therapist who has experience working with pediatrics and a clear understanding of early childhood development and pediatric Speech and Language Disorders. We have a need for a qualified, energetic, experienced SLP to take over a partial caseload as well as help lead some of our preschool, toddler, and Mom and Toddler Communication Groups. We provide 1:1 Evaluations and Speech services to children B-18, Social Communication groups and camps, farm-based Social Communication camps, and Early Intervention home-based services. Experience with Autism, AAC, early language, and speech sound disorders are a must.
Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with other Therapists and families, while seeing children individually and in groups in a pediatric clinic setting. Knowledge and experience with Language and Articulation evaluations, report writing, and creating goals are necessary. Create intervention activities around the child's plan of care and provide Family with strategies they can incorporate into their daily routines. Excellent communication with families and other Therapists is a must.
This position already has a caseload ready to go! After School times are a must at least 2-3 days a week.
Opportunities to receive CEUs, attend trainings, and receive reimbursement toward your re-certification or license renewal.
There will be weekly paid staff meetings Therapists are encouraged to attend to collaborate with other therapists and discuss strategies for your caseload.
