A Glazier will be responsible for the proper installation, maintenance, and repair of glass and glazing systems in various commercial and residential settings. Expertise in this trade is essential to ensure high-quality work and customer satisfaction. Essential Functions

  • Expertly measures, cuts, delivers, and installs glass in windows, doors, curtain walls, storefronts, shower enclosures, railings, and other architectural applications.
  • Utilizes advanced cutting techniques to produce glass pieces with precision and accuracy.
  • Applies sealants, adhesives, and caulking to ensure proper insulation and weatherproofing, with an emphasis on quality craftsmanship.
  • Performs general duties, including loading/unloading trucks, staging tools and materials, parts assembly, and driving company vehicles as needed.
  • Effectively uses the tools of the trade including, but not limited to, tape measure, laser level, glass meter, glass cutter, suction cup, drill, saw(s), screw gun, grinder, ladder(s), and scaffolding/man lift.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to glass installation and glazing systems, providing efficient solutions.
  • Promotes a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and best practices.
  • When necessary, provides guidance and direction to apprentices and entry-level glaziers.
  • Interacts with clients and represents the company professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing any concerns.
  • Follows company policies, directives, and safety rules.

This job operates both in our shop and at a variety of residential job sites. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, smartphones, computers, hand toolS. This job requires work to be performed outside as needed, regardless of weather conditions. Work is often performed at heights using ladders, scaffolding, and man lifts.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds and occasionally over 50 pounds.  Must be able to tolerate working at heights.

This is a full-timE. Hours are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in the glass and glazing industry, demonstrating a high level of competence.
  • Proficiency in using glazing tools and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to lift and maneuver heavy glass, windows, doors, and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability.
  • Valid driver’s license and record of safe driving. DOT compliance training encouraged..
