The Barry County Health Department is seeking a full-time (40 hours/week) nutritionist to provide individual assessment, counseling, and support for breastfeeding, pregnant and postpartum women, infants, and children up to age 5. Duties also include individual and group education and being accountable for daily clinic functions. 

At minimum, the candidate must have graduated from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Public Health Nutrition, Home Economics, or closely related field; including or supplemented by at least fifteen (15) semester hours in food and nutrition including diet therapy and community nutrition. WIC experience is preferred. The selected candidate will provide nutrition education to WIC eligible participants and assess their nutritional needs for certification eligibility.

 The applicant must be reliable and able to work in a team environment. Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor is expected at all times.
