SAW, Inc. is searching for people that are committed to enhancing the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities by promoting independence, community inclusion, and building social skills in an adult day program.  As we continue to expand our team, we are looking for dedicated professionals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals.

SAW, Inc. has Adult Activity Centers located in Maple Hts., Beachwood, Parma and Rocky River as well as a Group Employment department.

Responsibilities:

• Provide supervision, instruction and support to ensure health and safety of the individuals.
• Assist individuals to expand their social network.
• Provide training to assist individuals to achieve their life goals.
• Document progress made, opportunities provided, and difficulties encountered.
• Plan and provide transportation to community outings.
• Assist individuals to learn strategies and provide support to manage conflicts and mental health difficulties.
• Administration of medication and first aid response under the direction of a SAW Inc. nurse.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets the underwriting criteria of the agency’s insurance company.
• Must have reliable transportation with the ability to arrive to work on time every day.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Obtain/maintain CPR/First Aid and DODD certification.
• Ability to push/pull/lift 50 pounds.
