Job Summary

 The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents and staff by performing cleaning duties assigned to apartments, interior and exterior common areas and amenities. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 

The following essential functions are the fundamental job duties of the position to be completed with or without appropriate reasonable accommodation.

  Clean public areas and resident’s apartments, including bathrooms, kitchens, patios & windows, floors, furniture and common areas.

  Perform all housekeeping duties including: o Distributing laundered articles and linens o Changing beds o Cleaning public restrooms and replenishing supplies as needed o Sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors; cleaning rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies o Dusting furniture and equipment o Polishing metalwork o Washing walls, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills 

 Performs all laundry duties, including: o Washing and drying resident laundry and textiles in provided appliances o Folding and/or hanging laundry appropriately o Distributing laundered articles and linens o Changing bed linens. 

 Maintain resident laundry areas, including mopping floors, washing walls, and checking lint traps regularly. 

 Wash windows at reasonable heights throughout the community as requested. 

 Keep utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition. 

 Disinfect and sanitize equipment and supplies.

  Stock the cleaning cart with supplies.

  Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to the disposal area(s). 

 Work with maintenance to ensure that the trash and dumpster areas are clean. 

 Request maintenance work orders for any maintenance repairs needed. 

 Report resident issues or changes in health or living status promptly. 

 Reports potentially unsafe conditions or maintenance-related issues Last Updated: 5/17/2023 Approved by: SVP, Functional Operations promptly to Supervisor. 

 May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned. Minimum Qualifications

 Must successfully complete all Company specified training programs.

 Able to operate cleaning equipment such as, iron, washer & dryer, brooms, mops, vacuums, etc. 

 Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed. 

 Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills. 

 Communicate effectively in English with employees and residents.

  General knowledge of sanitation. 

 Strong organization and time management skills. 

 Basic computer skills. Required Competencies
