Job Title: Private Homeschool Teachers & Tutors

Hours: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm, 4 days a week; some Saturdays (not many)

Pay: $15 per hour (starting rate)

Company Overview: Champions Learning Center is a newly established educational institution set to open its doors on February 15. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive educational services to K-12 students and adults. Our specialization is in technology, art, and science.

Position Overview: We are currently seeking enthusiastic and qualified Private Homeschool Teachers to join our team to inspire and educate 6th-12th graders. This is a contract position starting from March 11 to June 13, with an opportunity for a summer school contract from July 8 to August 5. Exceptional candidates will be offered full-time positions for the 2024/2025 school year after the summer school term.

You'll be part of a unique opportunity, teaching four days a week from 8:30 am-5:30 pm, with some Saturdays from 12-5 pm. In small classes capped at 8 students, you'll foster strong relationships and deliver a high-quality curriculum, aiming for 70% hands-on learning.

As our STEM teacher, you'll assist in teaching innovative materials like drones, VR systems, 3D printers, dissections, and more.

As our Technology teacher, you'll assist in teaching innovative materials like coding languages, robotics, and digital design.

As our Art teacher, you'll assist in teaching innovative materials like digital art software, multimedia techniques, and contemporary art forms, inspiring students to unleash their creativity and express themselves through diverse and cutting-edge artistic mediums.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct engaging and hands-on learning sessions in STEM, technology, art, and math.
  • Utilize the provided curriculum, making necessary modifications based on individual student needs.
  • Create some curricula, making necessary differentiation techniques based on students' needs.
  • Deliver instruction to both K-12 students in a small group setting or 1-1 tutoring.
  • Ensure a dynamic and interactive learning environment.
  • Participate in in-service training sessions to enhance teaching skills.

Requirements:

  • Passionate about one or more of the following courses: ------------/subjects
  • Fun, innovative, and creative is a MUST!
  • Background in STEM, technology, art, or math education.
  • Experience with hands-on learning approaches.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to different learning styles.
  • Teaching certification is a plus.
  • Possessing a bachelor's degree is beneficial.
  • Fluency in a second language is an additional asset.

Compensation:

  • $15 per hour (starting rate)

Contract Period:

  • March 11 to June 13 (with potential for a summer school contract from July 8 to August 5)

Future Opportunities: Outstanding candidates will be considered for full-time positions in the 2024/2025 school year after the summer school term.
