Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and organized individual to join our balloon company as a Balloon Store Associate. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks ranging from assisting walk-in customers to preparing and delivering balloon decorations. Responsibilities:

1) Customer Service in the Store:

• Serve walk-in balloon artists and customers.
• Confirm stock availability, assist in color selection, and process payments using Clover POS.
• Fulfill simple balloon orders such as helium bouquets to interested walk-in customers.

2) Product Management:

• Maintain the storefront wall display by replacing missing balloon bags from the warehouse room.
• Unload incoming product shipments, update the Clover online inventory system, and manage balloon stock by placing orders with our suppliers.

3) Online Orders and Communication:

• Prepare and ship online orders, including packing, labeling, and dropping the boxes off at UPS.
• Process balloon decoration leads (prospective customers) through phone calls, emails, and social media.
• Provide quotes, collect payments, manage delivery schedule, and send follow-up messages.

4) Balloon Decoration:

• Prepare balloon decoration orders, including inflating balloons and creating decorations (garlands, compositions) for pre-placed orders.
• Deliver and install balloon decoration orders during the week. 

5) Rental Equipment and Vinyl Signs:

• Manage rental equipment, including distribution and returns.
• Fulfill vinyl sign orders by printing signs for customers on demand.

6) Store Maintenance:

• Maintain order and cleanliness in the store.

7) Administrative Tasks:

• Conduct online searches to gather contacts for potential customers.
• Perform stocktaking twice a year, hand counting bags of balloons and update the inventory accordingly.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in retail or customer service.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask, learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer proficiency.

Work schedule:

• Monday - Friday, 10am - 6pm, excluding major holidays.

Location:

• San Diego, 92111.

Compensation:

• $20/hr + sales commission and tips from balloon decorations. Paid biweekly.
