Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and professional clinician to join our team as a contracted counselor providing counseling services in our clinic with the potential of some remote clients that can be done from the counselor's home office. This position will begin as a part-time position and build to full-time. The selected candidate will ideally provide counseling to children, adults, and families. The candidate will be encouraged to utilize the resources available to provide traditional forms of therapy and nontraditional forms of therapy (art, play, etc.) The office is fully furnished but the provider will be encouraged to make it their own. Our office is conveniently located off the orchard exit on Overland Rd. in Boise. 

Educational/License Requirements

  • Individuals must have a master’s degree.
  • Licenses Accepted: LMSW, LPC, LCSW, LCPC, LMFT
  • Maintain licenses and/or certifications as required by IDAPA.
  • Licensed to work in the state of Idaho.
  • Be willing to obtain CANS certification (paid for by agency).

Qualifications

  • Strong computer skills working with varying electronic health records. 
  • Efficient typing skills.
  • Ability to move independently or with reasonable accommodation within the facility.
  • Applicant must be physically and mentally able to perform all requirements of the job.
  • Must possess good organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate effective and appropriate verbal/written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team model.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, moving from one task to another quickly and with ease.
  • Ability to pass a DHW enhanced background check (Required)

Duties

  • Administer mental health assessments (CDA, CANS, etc.)
  • Development of a written Treatment Plan using information from the participants’ Comprehensive Diagnostic Assessment (CDA).
  • Develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Accurately document the billable services provided in the electronic health record. The record must be kept current, complete, and accurate at all times.
  • Perform 90-day and annual reviews within mandatory time frames.
  • Attend all associated staff meetings, training, staffing or other meetings associated with serving respective cases as assigned.
  • Attend and participate in case-specific supervision meetings as scheduled.
  • Collect information about clients through clinical interviews, observations and/or assessments.
  • Counsel clients, parents (guardians), and/or families, individually or in group sessions.
  • Modify treatment activities or approaches as needed to comply with changes in clients’ status.
  • Maintain positive relationships and rapport with clients, family members, coworkers, and community partners. 

Experience Preferences

  • Play therapy/Art therapy experience preferred.
  • Experience working with the developmental disability population (children and adults) preferred.
  • Experience with crisis response and intervention preferred.
  • Experience developing treatment plans.
  • Experience facilitating groups, individual, and family therapy.
  • Experience administering CDA, MSE, and CANS assessments.
