Position Title: Home Health Pediatric Nurse

Position Type: Full-Time, 1099 Contractor

Compensation: $28 per hour (Paid Weekly)

Locations: Atlanta, Kennesaw, Stone Mountain, Athens

Immediate Availability: Serious candidates only

  • Valid GA LPN or RN License
  • Current BLS/CPR Certification
  • Negative TB Test

Job Overview:

Atlanta Pediatric Healthcare is in search of a reliable and compassionate Pediatric Nurse to provide professional and considerate care to children aged 0-21. We seek candidates who are not only qualified but also bring a patient and caring approach to pediatric healthcare. The ideal candidate will have experience in pediatric healthcare and be adept at delivering diverse homecare services while maintaining composure and empathy.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately record a patient's medical history
  • Measure and document vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate
  • Monitor patients undergoing treatment, assessing progress and potential medication side effects
  • Observe and evaluate the patient's condition
  • Assist children with daily activities, such as eating and bathing
  • Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas, wound care, and basic medical tasks as needed
  • Collect samples for lab testing as directed
  • Provide emotional and psychological support when necessary
  • Communicate with parents to provide education, guidance, and comfort

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an LPN or RN
  • Ability to undertake diverse care tasks and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
  • Familiarity with hospital health, safety, and sanitation standards and procedures
  • Understanding of confidentiality obligations and adherence to nursing best practices
  • Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate and capable of managing stress
  • Successful completion of an RN/LPN license program is a prerequisite

License/Certification: Nursing License (Required)
