Responsibilities:
- supervise a classroom of children, providing a safe and nurturing environment
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Assess and monitor the progress of each child, providing individualized attention and support
- Maintain open communication with parents, providing regular updates on their child's development
- Manage classroom behavior and promote positive social interactions among children
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive learning environment
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and program policies
Qualifications:
- Education or a related field preferred
- Experience working with children, particularly those with developmental disabilities or autism
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early education
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans and activities that promote learning and development
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast environment
