Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for treatment
Take xrays and other radiographic imaging
Monitor patient's overall well-being and comfort
Record and communicate patient's health history and any concerns to the treating doctor
Organize dental records
Properly record necessary data from the appointment
Record detailed notes from each patient
Sanitize instruments and workstation
Set up/ turn over treatment room following OSHA and CDC guidelines
Support the doctor during the procedure through charting and instrumentation
Have a "can-do" attitude and seek out opportunities to help your teammates
Assist with other office tasks as necessary
Qualifications:

Ability to function within a team environment as a supportive and positive contributor
Ability to be flexible with schedules and the needs of the team
Strong communication skills (verbal and non-verbal) with both patients and co-workers
Proficient computer skills
Ability to stay productive during downtime
Excellent clinical skills - Ability to correctly pass instruments, anticipate doctors needs, and multi-task
Knowledge of how to properly clean and disinfect a room after treatment
Knowledge of the instruments necessary for each procedure
General knowledge of all cements and mixing materials used for treatment
Strong understanding of HIPAAA, OSHA and CDC guidelines
2+ years of four-handed dentistry preferred, but not required for right candidate
1+ years of endodontic assisting preferred, but not required for right candidate
