Cabin Staff - Housekeeping & Dining Services

PAY:$1,550.00 month + tips and end of season bonus

The Cabin/Lodge Staff position is one of the most vital jobs on the ranch because you are the face of best in class service. A positive attitude, love for the outdoors and the ability to converse with a wide variety of personalities is imperative.

Shared Housing and Meals included! In addition to your monthly salary, you can earn a $350 per month bonus if you fulfill your contract period (paid at the end of your contract).

More about Spotted Horse Ranch and the Cabin/Lodge Staff position:

Spotted Horse Ranch was established as a dude ranch in 1963. We are located approximately 1.5 hours south of Yellowstone and a half hour from Grand Teton National Park. The beautiful Hoback River flows through the ranch property and backs up to the Bridger Teton National Forest, where there are miles of trails on which to hike or ride horses. We also have two hunting backcountry camps that are used during the Summer/Fall season for guests.

Our employees are invited to enjoy our weekly cookouts with live entertainment and interact socially with guests. One of the many perks is taking advantage of the breathtaking scenery while hiking, horseback riding and fly fishing during your time off! Also, the town of Jackson is just 20 minutes away, and it boasts great restaurants, unique shopping, museums, art galleries, and a thriving nightlife on the square. 

Our season runs from May through the end of October, and we are seeking those who can work the entire season.  We do make some exceptions for those that cannot commit to the entire season. The Cabin and Lodge Staff employees are offered an end-of season bonus if they stay for the duration of their contract.

Included in the salary package is shared housing and 3 meals a day during your employment. You are expected to live on the ranch during your employment.

Example of Cabin/Lodge Team responsibilities:

The Cabin Staff team is expected to take GREAT pride in their work and be available to maintain their responsibilities with enthusiasm and attention to detail. It is also imperative that you are professional while on property during and while you are off shift.  You will be a part of a hard working team and we expect clear communication so that we deliver exceptional service. Day to day responsibilities can change and you must be able to adapt and be resourceful.

Duties include:

• Cleaning guest cabins to include laundry, general maintenance, and re-stocking of essentials. Turn-over service must be done efficiently.
• Cleaning of the main lodge, office, kitchen, and other common areas. This includes dusting, sweeping/mopping, cleaning windows and keeping areas tidy.
• Planting and watering flowers, landscaping maintenance to include trash pick up and keeping the ranch grounds pristine.
• Cross trained in the Child Care, Dog Sitting and Guest Services Position (Bartending must be 21 years of age min) to fill in as needed.
• Kitchen duties – Maintaining a clean kitchen always! Dishwashing after meals and maintaining kitchen equipment.
• Assist chefs with meal preparation as needed.
• Dining service – Abide by dress code (western wear). Waiting tables and serving food to our guests. Have clear communication to the kitchen staff to deliver expected presentation. Bus tables as needed and be available to requests of our guests.
• Set-up for outdoor/indoor cookouts, serving, and break-down of cookout site.
