Production Helper Responsibilities:
- Working effectively with the kitchen team, and complying with company procedures and food safety policies.
- Setting up and maintaining workstation with required ingredients and equipment, and keeping station sanitary and organized throughout the shift.
- Preparing Juices, milks and tonics following recipes and guidelines.
- Wash, peel, slice, trim, chop, and grate fruit and vegetables, and measure, weigh and mix a wide variety of ingredients.
- Ensuring ingredients are organized, date-labeled, covered, stored, and rotated effectively.
- Overseeing Inventory levels and rotation of items according to FIFO.
- Keeping utensils and equipment clean, safe and sanitary at all times.
- Establishing inventory levels at end of shift and leaving work area clean and restocked for the next person/task.
- Removing trash and clearing storage bins into designated waste area
· Keep work area clean and organized, per standards set by company
· Ensure that work is being performed in a manner to produce quality products, according to our quality requirements and specifications
· Follow all applicable food service policies and procedures-Food Safety-
· Meet production targets set by management-Quota-
- Practices and encourages a positive attitude among teammates to stimulate enhanced communication and collaboration.
- Able and willing to assist teammates and take on additional assignments.
Production Helper Worker Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or a suitable alternative.
- 2+ years of kitchen exposure.
- Valid and updated Food handler’s certification
- Dress Code: Hair-neatly tied or cap, Nails trimmed and natural, NO Jewelry while working, non-slip shoes: closed toe and closed heal for maximin safety, appropriate attire and personal hygiene
- Excellent understanding of food preparation fundamentals.
- Ability to follow recipes.
- Sound understanding of food allergies and foodborne illnesses.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Proficient “sharp object” handling skills and safety requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work standing on feet for 8 hours
- Available to work weekends.
- Must be willing and able to work safely in a fast-paced production work environment
