Position Overview:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of tax regulations, excellent numerical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients. This role will involve assisting clients in preparing and filing their tax returns accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Gather necessary financial information for tax return preparation.
Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
Perhaps identify potential tax credits, deductions, and liabilities to ensure maximum client benefits.
Be up-to-date regarding knowledge of tax laws and changes in regulations.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients to address queries and record communication.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of tax returns.
Uphold confidentiality and security standards in handling sensitive financial information.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience as a Tax Preparer or similar role in a tax office or accounting firm.
Proficiency in tax preparation software (Lacerte).
Strong understanding of tax laws, regulations, and compliance standards.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
Enrolled Agent certification is a plus.
