Full Time Position. Pay: $63,000-$75,000 based on experience. Salary is negotiable. This position includes benefits such as health insurance and a retirement program.

Gainesville for All is a non-profit dedicated to fighting poverty and racial inequities in North Central Florida. Our areas of focus include education, criminal justice, health and transportation and family support. As a part of our mission we opened up the Gainesville Empowerment Zone Family Learning Center in August 2023. The Center serves pregnant women, children ages six weeks to 5 years old, and their families with high-quality early education programs and connections to vital community and social services.

Gainesville for All is seeking an Executive Director who will serve as the key leader and chief executive officer of the organization, responsible for the overall management, strategic direction, and successful operation of the organization.This role requires a dynamic and visionary leader with strong leadership, strategic planning, organizational, fundraising, lobbying, budgeting and interpersonal skills. The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and works collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and external stakeholders to advance the organization's mission and achieve its goals.

The Executive Director must have a passion for using new approaches to prepare children from mostly low- income families for kindergarten. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong command of how to help low-income families connect to services. The candidate will also partner with community and government agencies to grow the organization. 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement a strategic vision in alignment with the organization's mission and values.
  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to set strategic goals, policies, and priorities.

2. Organizational Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring effective and efficient use of resources.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to staff, fostering a positive and inclusive organizational culture.
  • Maintain strong communication and collaboration channels within the organization.

3. Fundraising and Financial Management:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to secure financial support from donors, grants, and other funding sources.
  • Manage the organization's budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and sustainability.
  • Cultivate relationships with major donors, foundations,community partners, government agencies, and corporate partners.

4. Program Development and Implementation:

  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of programs and services in line with the organization's mission.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and make data-driven decisions to enhance impact.

5. Community Engagement and Advocacy:

  • Serve as the primary spokesperson and advocate for the organization, building strong relationships with community leaders, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization at public events, conferences, and meetings to raise awareness and support.

6. Board Relations:

  • Work closely with the Board of Directors, providing regular updates, reports, and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the board to recruit and engage new board members with diverse skills and backgrounds.

7. Compliance and Governance:

  • Ensure the organization operates in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Work with the Board to develop and implement effective governance policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership experience in the nonprofit sector.
  • Strong understanding of nonprofit management, fundraising, and financial stewardship.
  • Excellent communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into action.
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in the field of Early Childhood Education.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred) in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of senior leadership experience in the nonprofit sector.
