JOB TITLE: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
SUPERVISION: Work is performed under the supervision and direction of assigned BCBA, Senior BCBA, and Regional Clinical Director of Momentum Behavior Services
JOB SUMMARY: Momentum Behavior Services (MBS) provides high-quality, evidence-based services to children, adolescents, and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). MBS is looking for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team! In this position you will be working closely with a team of professionals in order to implement interventions based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Our Behavior Technician team members play a vital role in advancing our mission to make a difference in the lives of individuals on the autism spectrum and their families.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
HOURS OF WORK: Part-time, availability is needed between 2-7pm Monday-Friday, with weekend hours as needed
STARTING PAY: $21-23.00 per hour, plus a comprehensive Benefit Package which includes:
LICENSES, CERTIFICATION AND REGISTRATION, EDUCATION AND TRAINING
High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree and/or pursuing a career in the behavioral health field is preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Experience working with children with ASD or other developmental, behavioral, or intellectual disabilities preferred, or are planning to pursue a career in the behavioral health field and want to gain invaluable experience as well as mentorship from professionals in the field.
JOB KNOWLEDGE (Specific)
Working knowledge in implementation of the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Working knowledge and experience with directing and/or leading intervention in high intensity behaviors and situations. Ability to implement programming for a variety of clients with minimal 1:1 training. Ability to interact effectively and in a supportive manner with people of all backgrounds and ages. Follow policies and procedures of Momentum Behavior Services related to client care. Follow and implement HIPAA Rules and Regulations, state and federal confidentiality laws.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB
In an average 8-hour day, the employee lifts/carries/holds up to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. maximum. In an average 8-hour day, the employee stands/walks 5-7 hours.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT OF THE JOB
Clinic setting with multiple therapy rooms. Adequate light and temperature, noisy.
EQUIPMENT OR MACHINES USED ON THE JOB
Basic computer skills with Internet, E-mail, Google Suite (mail, chat, drive), cell phone, photocopiers, scanner.
MENTAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB
Must be able to maintain high energy throughout each session based on the needs of the individual client served. Must be able to make decisions based on individual clients BIP during high stress situations. Must be able to provide constructive feedback when training other staff members. Work with many different personalities, able to function as a polite and cooperative team member with a positive attitude even amid highly stressful situations. Ideal candidate needs to have sensitive characteristics with a desire to help others.
