The Geffken Group, PLLC is a small private practice mental health clinic in Gainesville, FL seeking a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern to join our practice. Applicants should have an appropriate Master’s level degree in counseling or another mental health discipline. Applicants must also be licensed as a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern in the state of Florida.

This role will entail regular outpatient counseling with clients in a private practice office setting. This includes holding appointment both in-person and through telehealth, on a HIPAA-compliant platform. The practice is primarily focused on individual counseling but sees families and couples as well. The new counselor will be expected to come into the office. Additional responsibilities include writing progress notes, scheduling, and keeping session-related records.

Experience in outpatient individual counseling in any setting is required. This role is salaried with paid time off and clinical supervision included. The office hours are typically 9 AM – 5 PM, but hours that differ from this may be discussed if desired.
