Preschool Teacher:

As a preschool classroom teacher, you will be responsible for providing developmentally appropriate care to children (ages 2-5) while maintaining and modeling Christian values to children, families, and staff at all times. This is a full-time position (40 hours/ per week) that includes a mandatory schedule of the core-instruction hours and participation in all required meetings, training and conferences. This position includes a highly competitive hourly rate, no health benefits, generous amount of PTO throughout the year and a large employee tuition discount. ECE units required. 

 

Childcare Responsibilities

  • ● Provide developmentally appropriate care to children
  • ● Follow and uphold the center's child development philosophy
  • ● Create and implement curriculum expectations for the classroom
  • ● Ensure curriculum is aligned with the school's vision
  • ● Support in the creation of individualized plans for children
  • ● Support play-based philosophy

 

  • Communication
  • ● Act as the main point of contact for parents
  • ● Maintain ongoing partnership with Director
  • ● Communicate updates and new policies to parents and staff
  • ● Oversee timely creation of classroom curriculum, newsletter, and calendar
  • ● Facilitate parent-teacher conferences and classroom team meetings
  • ● Coordinate class events
  • ● Bring classroom, staff, and parent concerns to Director

 

  • Compliance and Safety
  • ● Ensure compliance with the center's handbook and policies, as well as Title 22
  • ● Oversee accident/incident reporting
  • ● Support Director in addressing CCLD concerns

 

  • Christian Values
  • ● Willingness to age appropriately share the gospel
  • ● Must maintain compliance with Imagine Christian School code of ethics
  • ● Must self-identify as a Christ follower
  • ● Must model servant leadership

Management and Leadership

  • ● Model punctuality and stewardship of materials
  • ● Act as the first in command for children in the classroom when Owner is off campus
  • ● Manage the program and the daily schedule and planned activities
  • ● Ensure classroom meets deadlines and maintain the organization and cleanliness
  • ● Provide thorough supervision, instruction, and limit setting for children
  • ● Maintain positive relationships with staff and model a Christ-like attitude
  • ● Model prayer for students by name
  • ● Oversee cleanliness and organization of the room
  • ● Prepare weekly classroom reports and reports to Director
