Physician Assistant

Job Summary:

Position is for an energetic, compassionate, patient and highly professional Physician Assistant. Experience in EMR a must and cardiology helpful. We offer a positive, upbeat team environment where patients care comes first. Physician assistant must be able to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, staff and their colleagues. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Carry out many of the same functions as traditional physicians while working under their supervision
  • Interview and examine patients to determine a diagnosis
  • Order tests to ascertain the nature and extent of illness/ reason for visit
  • Prescribe medications and suggest lifestyle changes / patient care plans to help remedy medical issues
  • Maintain patient  records daily and provide documentation for proper billing
  • Assist office nurse and other staff with clinical calls
  • Coumadin management when nurse is absent
  • Flexible work schedule in the event needed at all clinical sites
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and skills required:

• Physician Assistant Licensure
• ACLS 
• BLS 
• Experience with EMRs
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to educate and lead 
• Excellent communication skills
• Team player
