As the Business Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operational activities of the organization, with a specific focus on bookkeeping tasks. This role works closely with the Business Manager to ensure the accuracy of financial records and reporting, maintaining organized documentation, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the operations. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Bookkeeping:

  • Perform routine bookkeeping tasks regarding A/P and A/R.
  • Record and track financial transactions and reconciling accounts as required by the practice.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.
  • Identify areas for cost reduction or process improvement.
  • Prepare and distribute regular financial reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Analyze financial data, including revenue, expenses, and profitability.
  • Identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Evaluate Retreat’s transaction data in sales revenue and product flow.   

 

Operational Support:

  • Ability to learn the business operations to ensure day-to-day activities run smoothly.
  • Assist in inventory management and order processing of medical and office supplies.

 

Financial Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, including financial and billing regulations.
  • Assist in internal and external audits as needed.

 

Vendor and Contract Management:

  • Work with the Business Manager to review and negotiate vendor contracts and agreements. 
  • Continuously monitor vendor agreement compliance.

 

Systems and Tools:

  • Utilize QuickBooks software and tools for financial and reporting.
  • Utilize CRM system for company data analytics. 

 

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

  1. Financial Accuracy:
    • Measure the accuracy of billing and financial reporting,
  2. Financial Reporting Timeliness:
    •  Financial reports are prepared and distributed weekly/monthly/ annually

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or Certificate in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred but not required. 
  • Previous experience in bookkeeping preferably in a healthcare or medical office setting.
  • General knowledge of billing and coding practices. 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Analytical mindset and strong financial acumen.
  • Team collaboration and the ability to work with leadership and stakeholders.
  • Integrity and a commitment to maintaining financial compliance and confidentiality.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • This position is a hybrid role with the ability to work a maximum of 2 days from home after training is completed. 
  • Standard business operations hours 
  • The role may involve some exposure to infectious diseases, physically demanding tasks, and high-stress situations.
