Position Description:

Title: Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Location: Marion, Ohio

Reports to: Program Specialist/Program Director

Compensation: UP to $15 Hourly DOE and high needs homes / $750 sign on bonus for FT employees and $200.00 Part time employees

Overall responsibilities:

Work in a residential setting assisting individuals served in becoming self-sufficient, self-advocating, self-driven individuals.

Detailed responsibilities:

· Assist individuals to achieve and exceed their personal goals based on their individual specific plan.

· Provide structure and create positive peer to peer relationships.

· Assist individuals with personal hygiene including bathing, feeding, dressing, etc.- if needed.

· Complete detailed, accurate documentation as assigned.

· Promote Community Inclusion for the individuals served.

· Help maintains & promote a safe and clean environment for the individuals.

. Must have good communication with management.

. Assist individuals to achieve and exceed their personal goals.

. Complete all documentation as outlined in support services as required.

. Positive attitude

. Basic money management

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Management or supervision experience in the field of DD field is preferred but not required.
• Capacity to build and maintain positive relationships with consumers, guardians, staff and other team members.
• Ability to communicate in a professional manner with both internal and external team members to positively represent BLESS, LLC.
• Must be reliable, 18 years or older and have proof of High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License & Proof of Auto Insurance.
• Must be able to provide past work references.
• A driver abstract, and BCI check will be conducted.
