Corner Therapeutics is looking to hire a personable, tech-savvy Office Manager who will be responsible for the day-to-day workings of the office. This position will report to the Senior Manager of HR and Business Administration, and will collaborate with other operations staff to provide operational, administrative and organizational support for all onsite employees. He/She should possess strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills and must be able to establish and maintain positive working relationships across the organization.  

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee day-to-day office activities and act as main point of contact for Corner employees and visitors  
  • Monitor and track office needs including supplies, equipment, and miscellaneous troubleshooting requests 
  • Maintain a tidy and hygienic environment across two sites 
  • Identify needs, manage vendor relationships, and organize food deliveries for company events  
  • Manage communication and scheduling with facilities vendors, including custodial and repair services 
  • He/she should understand and be able to navigate office technology, working closely with IT support team to troubleshoot office hardware, software, and network issues 
  • Gather and analyze data to diagnose problems with computer systems or A/V equipment 
  • Oversee the office-related budget; monitor and adjust spend accordingly 
  • Assist with team building initiatives to support a culture and work environment that encourages employee engagement  
  • Assist in onboarding process for new hires 
  • Coordination (and when needed, creation of) internal communications for the roll-out of new policies and culture-building initiatives 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience in office management or related role (start-up and scale-up experience required, biotech experience preferred) 
  • Top-tier communication skills, including proven ability to compose, edit, and prepare correspondence, including confidential information, that aligns with the company’s communication practices 
  • Demonstrate initiative and ability to manage information flow to promote seamless day-to-day operational support for a thriving onsite ecosystem  
  • Ability to multitask, meet project deadlines, and fulfill job duties in a timely manner while facing multiple distractions and interruptions 
  • Strong interpersonal skills guided by a passion for collaboration, respect, continuous learning and mutual mentorship 
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with expertise in the Microsoft office suite, with particular fluency in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook calendar, and SharePoint 
  • Possess a high degree of poise, judgment, discretion, and professionalism  
  • Must be able to work with minimal direction and be able to exercise judgment, creativity, and analytical thinking
