Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Minneapolis, MN. As an ESL Teacher at Aurora Charter School, you will be responsible for planning and delivering appropriate ESL instruction to a diverse population of students ranging from 5th to 8th grade. You will provide instruction in all ESL skill areas including reading, writing, speaking, and listening. You will also assess student learning regularly and work closely with other classroom teachers to ensure appropriate curriculum integration to accomplish the school’s mission of full bilingual and bicultural development for its students.

Qualifications

• Current MN Teaching license in Education, Bachelor with TESOL or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Must satisfactorily pass a criminal background check, and must comply with organizational and district policies.
• Experience working with diverse student populations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of second language acquisition theories and practices.
• Familiarity with a variety of assessment tools and data-driven instruction.
• Strong technology skills to integrate technology in the classroom. 

Pay Range: 

$44,500-$75,301
