Job description: Provide trauma informed outpatient mental health counseling to clients in North Carolina, NC. 

Essential responsibilities:

• Providing ethical and clinically sound mental health counseling that honors the autonomy and wellbeing of each client.
• Maintain a full-time caseload and stay up to date with clinical documentation, billing, and obtaining informed consent.
• Maintain one’s professional liability insurance, licensure, supervision requirements, and relevant certifications.

Specific tasks:

• Provide individual counseling to clients from Nourished and Known, PLLC’s Winston Salem, NC office.
• Diligent and ethically sound clinical documentation.
• Attend regular meetings with practice owner and supervisor(s).

Required education and experience:

• A Master’s degree in Counseling or Social Work from an accredited university. 
• A full or provisional license approved and maintained by the North Carolina Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors or the North Carolina Social Work Certification or Licensure Board.

Critical knowledge and skills:

• Applicants should have a sound understanding of trauma informed care, self-regulation techniques, and the window of tolerance. 
• Applicants should have completed or be willing to complete the IAEDP core courses on Eating Disorder treatment. ------------
• Applicants should have experience treating eating disorders and trauma and be willing to develop a specialty in this area. 
• An understanding of weight neutral care, Health at Every Size, and Intuitive Eating.
• Preference given to applicants who are trained or certified in EMDR.
