Job Position Responsibilities:
To support the physician and registered nurses in the evaluation and treatment of patients. Work under direction of Physician in order to meet patient’s needs.
- Follow protocols as outlined by physician
- Review charts prior to appointment
- Obtain records prior to appointments
- Obtain patient history, chief complaint and vital signs
- Draw up injections and set out supplies
- Compile documents accurately through the HER system
- Removes casts, bandages and prepare necessary supplies
- Assist with post operative care including medication renewals, scheduling appointments, cast removals
- Act as patient and family advocate and maintain HIPPA guidelines
- Telephone triage
- Inform patient sabout upcoming appointments, patient portal and payment due dates
- Assist with form completions
- Follow OSHA guidelines and procedures
- Assist with monitoring cleanliness and sterility of instruments and office space
- Ability to eficienty manage multiple tasks
- Frequent bending, stooping and lifting required
Required Qualificaitons
- High school diploma or GED
- Accredited medical assistant program or equivalent courses in nursing
- CPR certification or willing to acquire within 30 days of employment
- Ability to qualify for Radiation certification within 6 months of hire
