Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 7:15 AM - 5:30 PM
Pay Range: $17 - $20
Job Description:
As a Dental Patient Coordinator at Art City Dental, your primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the front desk and reception area. You will play a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming environment for our patients while managing their scheduling needs and providing excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Scheduling:
- Manage the appointment schedule to ensure optimal patient flow throughout the day.
- Coordinate and confirm appointments with patients via phone, email, or in-person.
- Assist patients in rescheduling and accommodating their scheduling needs.
- Patient Care:
- Greet and welcome patients with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Provide information, assistance, and support to patients, addressing their questions and concerns.
- Ensure a comfortable and inviting waiting area for patients.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including personal and insurance information.
- Verify insurance information and assist with claims processing.
- Keep detailed records of patient communications and interactions.
- Billing and Payments:
- Process payments and co-pays accurately.
- Provide estimates for treatments and discuss financial options with patients.
- Handle insurance inquiries and assist patients in understanding their coverage.
- Communication:
- Communicate effectively with the dental team to ensure smooth patient transitions between front desk and clinical areas.
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and return voicemails promptly.
- Coordinate with specialists and other healthcare providers for referrals and records.
- Maintaining Supplies:
- Ensure the front desk area is well-stocked with necessary office supplies.
- Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in dental office management is a plus.
- Previous experience in a dental or medical office, or a customer service role, is highly desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Bilingual is a bonus but not required
- Proficiency in dental practice management software and basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of dental insurance processes and billing procedures.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
