The Early Childhood Center at Temple Shaaray Tefila is looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and loving teacher or intern. We are looking for highly motivated, energetic, positive, outgoing, creative and dedicated team player to join our amazing teaching team. 

The ECC is a Reggio-inspired, nurturing, play-based nursery school that instills a lifelong love of learning in each child. Teachers plan emergent curriculum based on the interests of the children. Our educational approach is rooted in the belief that through multi-sensory experiences, discovery, and problem solving, children gain the building blocks necessary to become enthusiastic and confident learners.

This position requires knowledge and skill in working with children ages 18-30 months, flexibility and ability to differentiate for a variety of learning styles and needs as well as a passion for working with children, colleagues and families. The hours are 9:00am to 12:15pm, with an option to work in the afternoon program (for ages 2-4) until 2:30pm.

Minimum Qualification/Requirements:

– Bachelor's Degree or NYS Certification

– Experience working with young children

– Warm and nurturing, with the ability to meet the social-emotional needs of young children

– Strong communication skills

– Hardworking and eager to work collaboratively colleagues

Salary to be determined based on experience & level of education.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 27 per week
