Graphic Design Job Description

Peppershock Media is seeking a mid-level graphic designer to join our team! 

Peppershock, an award-winning strategic marketing, and digital creative production agency, has been building brands and bottom lines for fortune none to Fortune 100 companies across the globe since 2003. 

As a graphic designer at Peppershock Media you will inspire and attract target audiences by creating compelling graphics, using a mix of creative strategy and killer design skills. What will you create? The sky is the limit! Your workload could potentially include logos, banner ads, social media posts, website graphics, magazine advertisements, and more. The ideal candidate for this position prides themselves on their attention to detail, and their relationships with co-workers and clients alike. The ideal candidate has strong communication, marketing, proofing, presentation, and organizational skills, pays careful attention to details and loves the ideation and creation process.

Minimum qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in graphic design or a related field
  • Solid understanding of design principles and trends
  • Research, analytical, and critical thinking skills for concept development
  • Able to clearly convey concepts through speech and sketches
  • Attention to detail, and knowledge of correct grammar and punctuation

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with multiple teams or clients
  • Design web pages, presentations, logos, brochures, postcards, signage, internal communication, newsletters, and marketing materials
  • Translate strategic direction into high-quality design within an established brand identity
  • Use trend intelligence and classic training to design collateral
  • Work on a wide range of projects and media, using various computer software to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs that meet or exceed client expectations
  • Obtain input from the creative team, ensuring designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the company or client appropriately
  • Work independently and cooperatively on multiple projects, meeting deadlines and budget constraints, and scheduling project implementation based on workload, which may include five or more simultaneous projects
  • Examine existing processes, identify flaws and create solutions to improve design capabilities and efficiencies 
  • Input time entries and billing notes daily, track and review tasks and perform progress updates
