Role
Provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment to children and adolescents with autism
spectrum and other disorders, applying strategies provided.
Responsibilities
● Is prepared for each session (e.g., charged IPAD, is current on any clinical updates)
● Accurately reports time and gather signatures (yourself and from parent) verifying session
occurred
● Implement the program/activities determined by the Clinical and/or Mid-level Supervisor
including appropriate stimuli, reinforcement and materials
● Accurately captures quantitative and qualitative data each session
● Implements trained methods (e.g., discrete trial, visuals, generalization, naturalistic teaching)
in an individualized manner)
● Implements a curriculum that may consists of developmental goals in the areas of cognitive
(including play), speech, communication, adaptive (toileting and other), behavior reduction
(maladaptive, aggressive or other), motor (fine and gross)
● Attend all scheduled patient sessions and meetings with the program team
● Follows all protocols for canceled Sessions- (see employee handbook)
● Adhere to all guidelines related to ethics, HIPAA and workplace safety
● Physically engage with patients throughout the entirety of a session (3-5 hours at a time)
● Maintain a high degree of professionalism in presentation and communication with families and
coworkers
● Adhere to all policies listed in the BIA Employee Policies.

Decision Rights
All Program decision rights are that of a program supervisor. It is your responsibility to check
with a program supervisor with questions and concerns regularly.

Qualifications
18 year of age or older, High School Diploma or equivalent. Able to exhibit physical and mental
requirements of position (sit on floor, run, jump, lift 50 pounds overhead, emotionally manage
patients engaging in aggressive behaviors). Attain mandatory Board Certified Autism Technician
(BCAT) certification prior to beginning position. Maintain BCAT and Behavior Technician
continuing education requirements (i.e., attaining CE’s, completing documentation).
