Los Cenzontles Cultural Arts Academy seeks an enthusiastic violin instructor experienced in teaching the fundamentals required for violin instruction. Instructors must be experienced in working with children ages 8-17. Must be familiar with Mexican music such as rancheras, corridos, sones. Be able to work alongside other instructors to create ensembles.

This is a part-time position, three to six hours per week, and pays $35 per hour.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

• Be open to learning the Los Cenzontles Methodology.
• Be open to learning new and traditional Mexican music if necessary.
• Prepare students to play in ensembles.
• Prepare students to play at recitals.
• Arrive on time for classes and faculty meetings.
