The Children’s Meetinghouse is seeking a qualified Preschool candidate to join our educational team. We are a non-profit early childhood program located in beautiful Concord, MA. We believe that imagination, wonder, discovery and delight serve as the cornerstones of teaching and learning. We place priority on honoring children in their capability and we follow a play-based, Reggio Emilia inspired approach. We would love to hear from you!
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Along with collaborating on a teaching team, job requirements include participating in all duties related to the education and care of young children. Preferred applicants have a passion to work with children in a group setting, joy in inquiry based projects, and interest in making learning visible through documentation.
- Create a safe and nurturing environment where children can learn and take risks
- Maintain full responsibility for smooth running of classroom environment
- In partnership with the center Director and peers, co-create a positive classroom culture
- Partner and communicate with families provide the best care and education for the children through inquiry based learning
- Design and implement curriculum including documentation to make the learning visible to the community
- Adhere to all EEC regulations
- EEC certification required- Teacher or Lead Teacher (Preschool)
- A love of children and a strong desire to make a difference every day
- Strong organizational skills including teamwork, relationship building skills, the ability to multitask, the ability to manage situations effectively and diplomatically
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Degree in early childhood education or related field desired, as well as experience with Reggio Emilia philosophy.

- Up to 80 hours of accrued personal time
- Up to 80 hours of earned vacation time
- 1 floating holiday after 1 year of employment & 2 floating holidays after 3 years of employment
TCM is open from 7:30am to 5:30pm Monday-Friday. Our teacher to child ratio is very generous and we are using our large playground spaces for lots of outdoor explorations.
