We are looking for a candidate who is already a confident home cook, with at least 1 year of commercial line cooking experience. The right candidate should want to one day advance from line cook to higher positions. We are willing to train and grow your skillset if you are be able to display critical thinking, problem solving and self-discipline.

  • Current shift opening: Wednesday to Sunday 4pm-9.30pm with some flexibility.
  • We will only consider candidates who are already seasoned home cooks with commercial experience and can prepare a variety of hot meals for themselves and family with confidence;
  • Good physical strength and fitness are important for this position. E.g. ability to safely lift 60 lbs with both hands; ability to work on your feet for up to 6 hours without break.
  • Good knife skills required;
  • Must work clean and tidy at all times;
  • No formal culinary education required;
  • Training on restaurant-specific food knowledge and cooking techniques will be provided;
  • Opportunity for promotion to Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef.

Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States;
  • CA food handler's certificate;
  • English-speaking: must be able to communicate in fluent English, read ticket remarks, manage inventory. Non-English applications will be automatically disqualified.
  • Must be comfortable with the handling of raw meat, using kitchen knives, cleaning tools and detergents;
  • Must be based within or adjacent to San Francisco City proper and able to commute reliably to work and on time;
  • May be subject to a paid trial period before confirmation;
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds with both hands, turn left and right, stand and walk on both feet for 8 consecutive hours or more;
