Armitage Ice is a full service ice carving business, partnering with our clients from idea inception to delivery and installation. Armitage Ice has been creating original custom designs in the valley since 1994. We service the very popular market of Metro Phoenix starting in mid-September through the end of May. Holidays such as Easter, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are some of our busiest days, along with the first 2 to 3 weeks of December for holiday parties. In the summer we slow down, but we do not stop providing service to the local market. Hours fluctuate due to demand, and overtime during the peak/holiday seasons are common. Job Purpose:

Primary assistance needed in North Scottsdale, AZ to set up seasonal ICE LOUNGE.  Additionally, to help produce and assemble world class ice sculpture displays for backyard parties, extravagant corporate events, and a wide variety of gatherings in the Metropolitan Phoenix area and beyond. Training provided as well as needed equipment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Utilize tools designed for ice sculpture production such as: 3 axis CNC router, bandsaw, chainsaws, die grinders fitted with specialty ice cutting bits, handling ice chisels and ice picks - Production of, and harvesting of, 300-pound ice blocks - Packaging of ice displays for delivery - Driving delivery vehicles - Setting up displays at delivery sites - Breaking down larger ice displays at the end of events.  

Hourly Rate: $18-$23/hour

Qualifications:

Valid driver’s license with good driving record - Must be able to lift at least 100 pounds - Basic mechanical understanding - Experience with tools designed for repair and building - Ice sculpting experience is beneficial, but not required - CNC experience is beneficial, but not required.

Working Conditions:

The production facility is in North Phoenix - Formally an office complex that has been converted to shop and office space that is climate controlled - 2 freezers, maintained at 22-24 degrees, for production and storage. Proper freezer wear is provided if needed - Kitchenette equipped with food preparation equipment for staff meals - Required to work weekends and nights, as needed, for installations and peak/holiday season production - Essential physical requirements include, but are not limited to, climbing, standing, stooping, and lifting over 50 pounds at a times. Team lifting is practiced, and lift equipment is available when needed.
