SEA – Instructor/Trainer, Environmental Health & Safety Specialist
Position Overview
Prepare and present SEA course material in a professional and effective manner. In addition, this role involves planning, developing, and coordinating external environmental, health & safety projects, as well as internal corporate programs.
Reporting Structure
- Reports to: Operations Manager of SEA.
- Direct Reports: Staff Pool Technicians and Engineering personnel when working on Environmental, Health & Safety Projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with 1-2 years technical experience or training; or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
- Strong reading, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and present complex information to varied audiences.
- Proficient in mathematical concepts and practical application.
- Must be able to stand, walk, sit, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Overnight travel required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
- Possess strong presentation skills.
Working Conditions
- Potential exposure to environmental, safety, and health hazards.
- Travel may involve adverse weather conditions.
- Workdays can vary between 8 to 12 hours, possibly including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Inform the Operations Manager about project activities.
- Engage with clients and industry representatives to improve services.
- Monitor competitor operations.
- Prepare and manage the operational budget.
- Recommend capital expenditures.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to ascertain client needs.
- Formulate and implement EHS projects and policies.
- Manage EHS equipment and materials.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Ensure that training/course materials are presented in a comprehensive and effective manner.
Additional Duties
- Analyze and forecast EHS and Training project needs.
- Maintain Quality Control.
- Report on EHS and Training activities to the Operations Manager.
- Stay updated on EHS and Training regulations.
- Attend relevant meetings and seminars.
- Other tasks as assigned.

- Efficient supervision and review of EHS Projects.

Compensation and Benefits
- Job Type: Full-time
- Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per year, dependent on experience.
