<p><strong>SBIFF Volunteer Manager Job Description</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Employment Dates:</strong></p><p>December 1st, 2023 – February 29th, 2024</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>The Volunteer Manager is responsible for but not limited to:</p><ul><li>Update volunteer application and information on Festival website</li><li>Update online training material</li><li>Recruit volunteers online and through local schools, businesses and organizations</li><li>Maintain all volunteer information in Database</li><li>Assess the volunteer needs of each department and produce a schedule</li><li>Organize &amp; administer Volunteer Online Orientation and Training meetings</li><li>Train, schedule and oversee a team of interns</li><li>Track volunteer shifts and administer volunteer benefits</li><li>Track positive and negative volunteer notes from team leaders</li><li>Attend to last minute schedule changes, requests and needs</li><li>Address truant or troublesome volunteers</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><p>This position requires an individual who is:&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Organized, quick thinking and self-motivated</li><li>The ability to work both in a team and independently</li><li>Must be committed to providing excellent customer service</li><li>Must be able to handle themselves and others under extreme pressure</li><li>Experience with training programs, instructing individuals and teams</li><li>Possess excellent verbal and written communications skills</li><li>Ability to interact professionally and demonstrate good judgment</li><li>Extended hours and a flexible schedule are necessary leading up to and during the Festival and other special events</li></ul>
