Commercial Glass Installer

Full Time based out of Newton, NH

Glass and glazing is a highly specialized field with excellent growth opportunities within our company and industry. We are willing to train the right candidate. This is a FULL-TIME position consisting of 8 hours performed within the hours of 6am – 4pm, depending on the project.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Safely transport, handle and install a wide array of commercial glazing products.
• Installing glass to meet industry standards and within the scheduled time frames
• Reading and understanding plans and specifications to obtain necessary work details
• Following necessary precautions to ensure safe handling of glass and materials
• Operating company vehicle safely and responsibly
• Prepare necessary materials and components for producing glass and aluminum products on-site for fabrication and installation. These products include windows, doors, storefronts, louvers, railings, canopies, curtainwall systems etc.
• Attending project meetings on site as required

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year construction experience (reading plans, basic carpentry)
• Clean and valid Driver’s License
• Able to lift up to 100lb. and stand for several hours a day
• Be able to work within the Act Glass & Aluminum / OSHA Safety program
• Able to work within a team dynamic and take instruction from a senior installer
• Able to use hand tools and take instruction/direction from Project Superintendent.
• Able to maintain a clean, professional appearance and attitude on jobsites and around clients.
• Attention to detail and excellent organization skills

Preferred:

• OSHA 10 certification
• Experience with glass installation
