PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES of a Teacher at the School of Arts and Sciences at The Centre:

• Implement and support instruction and assessment practices for a diverse group of students that reflect the Florida Standards and the principles of our Charter
• Establish strong working relationships and effectively utilize these relationships to develop an exceptional learning environment for students
• Work collaboratively with a diverse group of school colleagues, parents, community members and others to support and implement the goals of the school
• Actively participate in faculty, grade-level team, and other school-related meetings/events
• Demonstrate a positive attitude
• Uphold professional duties including attendance, parent communication, and deadlines
• Ability to plan and execute rigorous lessons
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
• Current Florida Teaching Certificate or Statement of Eligibility in Math, Science, or Related Field
• Familiarity with the Florida Standards

PREFERRED

• Experience teaching
• Conscious Discipline Training or Experience
• Experience with the MTSS process
• Familiarity with the Key Components of the SAS Charter (view school website)

SALARY AND BENEFITS

• Commensurate with education, experience, and position
• Schedule: 8:15 - 3:45
• 10 months, following the Leon County School Calendar
