Event Planner
Duties:
- Plan and execute a wide range of events, including weddings, corporate meetings, fundraisers, and social gatherings
- Coordinate all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, vendor management, catering, audiovisual setup, and decor
- Collaborate with clients to understand their event goals and preferences, and provide creative ideas and solutions
- Develop detailed event timelines and budgets, ensuring all deadlines are met and expenses are within budget
- Manage guest services, including RSVP tracking, seating arrangements, and accommodations
- Oversee event setup and teardown, ensuring all elements are in place and the venue is left in pristine condition
- Handle any event-day issues or emergencies with professionalism and efficiency
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients, vendors, and team members
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to overcome challenges and create memorable events
- Attention to detail to ensure every aspect of the event is executed flawlessly
- Knowledge of banquet and catering operations, as well as restaurant or hospitality industry standards
- Experience in fundraising events is a plus
- Proficiency in event planning software or tools
