<p><strong>About us - </strong>My Next Step is a nonprofit community benefit organization dedicated to helping low income adults achieve self-sufficiency.</p><p><strong>Caseworker Assistant/Client Support</strong></p><p>Looking for an up-beat, energetic and organized person who enjoys helping people. This is a full time contract position/<strong>32 hours per week </strong>located in St. Helens, OR<strong>.</strong> This position will be housed at the DHS Self-sufficiency office working directly with DHS Family Coaches.</p><p>What we are looking for:</p><ul><li><em>Team player</em></li><li><em>Excellent time management skills</em></li><li><em>Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills</em></li><li><em>Genuine interest in helping people. Ability to work with all types of people; must be patient, comfortable and open to interacting with individuals who have various types of disabilities.</em></li><li><em>Strong motivational skills - Empower and support clients in life choices and change</em></li><li><em>Ability to follow up and follow through on tasks and projects to completion</em></li><li><em>The ability to take direction from and report to multiple supervisors</em></li><li><em>Understand and follow written and oral instructions, guidelines and procedures</em></li></ul><p>JOB DUTIES:</p><ul><li>Assist clients in meeting their case plans</li><li>Reporting/Data entry: prepare and maintain clear, accurate, complete and timely records in the DHS data base.</li><li>Maintain strict confidentiality and professional boundaries with all clients served</li><li>Collaborate with community partners in order to identify alternative resources and support services</li><li>Engage the family out of the home and out of the SSP office</li><li>Participate in staffing to discuss participant/family progress</li><li>Home visits</li></ul><p>DESIRED SKILLSET/EXPERIENCE: Experience in or knowledge of:</p><ul><li>Social and economic issues that create poverty</li><li>Helping adults identify ways to achieve greater self- sufficiency</li><li>Experience with case management and assessing participant/family strengths and service needs</li><li>Experience creating and maintaining written documentation concerning cases</li><li>Experience working in a social/human services field or relatable skills</li><li>At least one years’ experience in a social services field and knowledge or awareness of low-income or homeless families and the issues facing them</li><li>Any bi-lingual fluency preferred but not required</li><li>General computer, word processing and spreadsheet skills</li><li>Candidate must be drug free and able to pass a criminal background check including Child Protective Services. Must have: High School diploma/GED, valid drivers' license and a reliable personal vehicle, acceptable driving record, and have current auto insurance</li></ul><p>HOW TO APPLY</p><p>Submit resume and cover letter to ------------.
