Part-Time Licensed Mental Health Clinician

Are you a skilled and empathetic therapist ready to make a profound impact on the lives of individuals battling chronic pain? We're seeking a dedicated therapist to join our dynamic team at Pain Trauma Institute, a forward thinking practice leading the field of chronic pain and illness.

We are looking for therapists who are trained in trauma-Informed psychotherapy for patients with chronic illness and/or chronic pain.Preferred Clinical Specialties: Chronic Pain/Illness, Trauma-Informed Therapeutic Modalities (one or more: EMDR, Biofeedback, Mindfulness, DBT, CPT, HRV, Sensorimotor, or other) Applicants with other areas of expertise will also be considered. Experience in somatic trauma-informed modalities preferred EMDR, and/or others. Level-2 trained surf therapy facilitators, or other outdoor therapy modalities a plus, but not required.

Currently we are hiring for part-time (10-20 client sessions per week), with the goal of a full-time position. We have both weekday and weekend availability. Our practice sees both private pay and managed care (health insurance) clients.

Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Counseling, or related field California licensure as a therapist. Experience in pain management, chronic illness, or related field (preferred)

Qualifications: To excel in this role, we are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:

LMFT, LCSW, LPCC PSY.d (Licensed in California)

Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong communication abilities and a compassionate nature.Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.Proficiency in basic computer applications and office software.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.The chance to make a real difference in the lives of individuals in pain.

As a team our goal is improve the patient prognosis for those struggling with chronic illness, chronic pain, and comorbid mental health concerns by educating all parties on both the trauma informed treatment lens and awareness of the long term impact commonly associated with ACES. We facilitate imporved patient prognosis and quality of life through evidence -based mental health services and colaboration with our extnesive medical referral network.

As a team member you will be a part of a truly trauma-informed medical practice, as well as opportunities developing and presenting course material for our CEU courses about a variety of subjects related to chronic pain.

Duties: Trauma-Informed . Psychotherapy for pain patients. Passion for health psychology a plus. Interest in getting in on the ground floor of a new clinic, and taking part in designing program . Willingness to do tele therapy. Gather outside resources. Help with designing educational materials.
