Orion Project Services is working with a Global Life Science organization to find a CAD Analyst.
This is a full time role and has an hourly pay rate of $40.00.
The purpose of this role is:
Support the Drawing Management team as a CAD software SME for reviewing Facility CAD Drawings per the Drawing Management Procedures & Standards for import into our Meridian System. Support the BluPrint team with Poly-Lining CAD Drawings. Both systems will revolve around Facility, Utility, & Process related projects. Support both groups with Data Analytics.
The responsibilities:
Works in an independent manner under the guidance of a supervisor or technical lead. Assignments have clear and specified objectives and require the investigation of a limited number of variables. Examples of supporting assignments include: Facility, equipment or process design and development, preparation of specifications.
· Complies with applicable policies and procedures, regulatory and safety requirements.
· Advanced expertise in the tools utilized -- Autodesk AutoCAD, Accruent Meridian, and BluPrint Space (IWMS) software
· Providing guidance and direction to individual CAD users on proper procedures and use of the various CAD tools and standards.
· Support Project Engineering to execute the engineering discipline CAD drawings on small to medium sized process, office & laboratory projects
· Poly-Lining CAD floor plans for implementation into our IWMS (BluPrint) system
· Support the development of an “analytical capability” and “big data” concepts to become the business expert in these areas
· Translates large data sets, analysis and complex models in usable, effective and presentable data to key stakeholders to drive business improvement opportunities
Qualifications:
· Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis
· High School / GED is required. Technical school completion / certification preferred.
· At least 5 years prior technical experience using AutoCAD in facility design
· 2-3 years’ work experience in a similar data analytics environment is preferred
· Experience with AutoCAD 2016 - 2019, Meridian, BluPrint, & Microsoft Office.
· Ability to review and compare CAD file layers, borders, text, and blocks to the AbbVie Standards
· Comfortable with complex and big data sets
· Prior Pharmaceutical experience is preferred
